The U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) Simplified Purchase Agreement (SPA) is a fast, easy ordering vehicle for printing and print-related services valued at $10,000 or less per order. Rather than running a full solicitation, an ordering agency simply requests a quote and places the order directly with a GPO-approved vendor. Taika Translations was approved under Program 1234M and issued Purchase Order X0472 — so federal agencies can now source Taika's translation, multilingual document production, and accessible-publishing work through GPO.

How it differs from a GPO term contract: a term contract is a fixed-term, competitively-awarded contract at pre-set prices for a defined category; the SPA is an open-ended agreement where the ordering agency solicits a quote per job and places orders directly, capped at $10,000 each — built for speed on small, varied jobs. Three steps — from quote to delivered documents.

1. Send us the job. An authorized agency purchaser tells us what you need — a document to translate and print, a multilingual mailing, an accessible publication. For work valued at $5,000 or less, a single quotation is allowed.
2. We quote at SPA terms. We return a written quote under the GPO Simplified Purchase Agreement — no more than we charge any other customer for a like product or service — with the documentation your file needs.
3. Place the order & we produce. Issue the order (GPO Form 4044 Work Order) and our team produces to GPO quality standards, on schedule, in 300+ languages.
